Diamond Setting

A stone is only as secure as the setting that holds it. Our jewelers set, reset, and rebuild settings for diamonds and colored gemstones at our Downtown Atlanta workshop, using magnification and laser equipment for precision that the naked eye can't match.

What we do

  • Prong, bezel, channel, pavé, flush, and tension settings
  • Resetting loose or shifted stones
  • Prong retipping and full head replacement
  • Setting customer-supplied diamonds and gemstones
  • Stone sourcing and matching when a stone is lost or damaged
  • Transferring stones from an old mounting into a new design

How it works

We inspect your piece under magnification to check every prong and seat. If a stone is loose, we identify why — worn prongs, a cracked seat, or metal fatigue — and repair the cause rather than just tightening it back down. You get a quote before work begins, and we show you what we found.

Co-founder Oman Silas brings extensive diamond-setting and manufacturing expertise from a career in the trade, and leads our workshop. Because our setters work on site alongside our repair jewelers, delicate work never gets shipped out.

Common questions

How do I know if a stone is loose? Hold the piece near your ear and tap it gently. A faint rattle means movement. Stop wearing it and bring it in — a loose stone becomes a lost stone quickly.

Can you match a stone I've lost? In most cases, yes. We source to match size, cut, color, and clarity so the replacement blends with the originals.

Will you set a diamond I bought elsewhere? Yes. Bring the stone and the mounting, or let us design something for it.
